Illinois is going to really suck for all gun owners. The Mayor of Chicago is trying to issue a state wide gun registration law..

Mayor Rahm Emanuel of Chicago proposed statewide legislation on Thursday to require handgun owners to register their weapons. The city requires handguns to be registered, but Illinois does not. A statewide registry would help the police follow the chain of possession for guns found at crime scenes that originate in other parts of Illinois, the mayor’s office said. Mr. Emanuel said just over half of what he called “short time-to-crime guns” recovered at Chicago crime scenes came from outside the city. The bill is being sponsored by two legislators from suburban Chicago. Richard A. Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association, called it “preposterous.” “He’s just trying to cover up the fact that he has a crime problem,” he said.
If this law is passed then it will make the sate suck more than it already dose.. They are the only state to not have conceal and carry law… Half of the citizens are against the law..
that is ridiculous to have to pay $65 for each gun.. It might make alot of people leave Illinois for being way too strict and ridiculous with their laws..
